If you think you’re Beyoncé’s biggest fan, we have bad news for you. The #1 fan crown officially goes to Brianna, aka “Briyonce,” the girl who learned Beyoncé’s Coachella dance routine in 40 minutes and absolutely nailed it.
Beyoncé left many in complete awe when she took the stage at Coachella on Saturday, April 14th. Her two-hour performance was incredible. She had a full marching band, over 100 backup dancers, guest appearances to die over, and choreography that was off the charts. What was Briyonce supposed to do? Sit back and simply watch? Not likely.
Perhaps the most incredible part of this story is that Briyonce learned that 50-second long set of moves in just 40 minutes. If that’s not dedication to the Queen, we don’t know what is. And her efforts aren’t going unnoticed.
Briyonce’s original choreo cover video has been viewed over five million times, garnered just under 400,000 likes and over 90,000 retweets.
Gabrielle Union, Monica Lewinsky, and Destiny’s Child’s own Michelle Williams have given Briyonce kudos on Twitter.
And yes, Briyonce received what she deserved — a spot on Ellen on Tuesday, April 24th.
On the show, she clarified that although it took her 40 minutes to learn the moves, she took an hour to perfect them, “because that’s what Beyoncé would do,” she said.
And although Beyoncé seems to be her fave, Briyonce has covered the choreography of other musical artists as well. She’s tackled Janet Jackson, too.
And of course, more Beyoncé.
Now that the world has witnessed the marvel that is Briyonce, we have one remaining question: Has Beyoncé seen Briyonce’s choreo cover? Once that happens, the cycle will be complete and we can all ascend.
