When we think of superheroes, we often think of a powerful character from the Marvel or DC universe. Our heroes always possess super powers and are saving the world with their bravery. But there are real life superheroes who live amongst us. And this young girl just reminded us all of that fact.

Eight-year-old Michele from Maryland dressed up like Ruth Bader Ginsburg for “Superhero Day” during her school’s spirit week and basically won our hearts forever.

Her proud mother, Krista Wujek Threefoot, took to Facebook to post about her daughter’s decision. And people everywhere have been cheering the young girl on.

It's superhero day at school. Michele has been reading the heck out of "I Dissent" and decided to dress as Ruth Bader...

Threefoot was ready with all the regular “superhero” accessories for her daughter. But Michele insisted on recognizing the powerful Supreme Court Justice.

She writes, “It’s superhero day at school. Michele has been reading the heck out of “I Dissent” and decided to dress as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, because she fights prejudice and injustice.”

The resemblance between the two is uncanny. Michele’s outfit is spot on. But more importantly, the passion and confidence in her eyes totally resembles her hero RBG. We can only imagine the incredible things this inspiring young girl will grow up to do.

Threefoot made her post public and has been actively encouraging people to share it.

She writes, “Feel free to share. Michele really, really wants RBG to see this, so she’d be over the moon if it’s shared enough times to make it to her.”

We would love for Ginsburg to see this, too. No doubt she’d be totally touched by this young girl’s choice and as inspired as the rest of us are for the future.

Of course, it’s still fun to enjoy superheroes in the movies. But Michele has just reminded us all to take some time and appreciate the real people who fight the good fight every day.
