Disney released the Frozen 2 trailer on February 13th, 2019, introducing us to a darker and more action-packed take on the 2013 film. When we last saw the Arendelle sisters, they were literal princesses who sang about snowmen. Now, they’re sword-wielding action heroes and some are comparing the trailer to a Marvel movie. Funnily enough, Frozen 2 reimagined as an Avengers movie is actually kind of awesome.

Jeeves Williams on Twitter laid Alan Silvestri’s Avengers theme song over the Frozen 2 trailer, and it works. We do wonder if this theme song works well with the Frozen 2 trailer because people just love that tune. Like the themes from Stars Wars and Harry Potter before it, you hear that Avengers song and perk up.

Without further ado, here’s Marvel’s Frozen 2:

The guy who made the video joked that we could be in for a Princess Cinematic Universe, and considering the trend that most new Disney Princesses are action heroes of sorts (Moana, Merida, and now Elsa, etc.), we wouldn’t rule it out.

Here’s the original Frozen 2 trailer, which is great even without The Avengers music:

Very little is known about Frozen 2 other than the fact that Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf travel outside Arendelle. Fans, however, have some theories. Our current favorite theory is that the crew go out in search of other individuals with season-based powers like Elsa.

The Arendelle crew could also be on a journey to reverse Thanos’s destruction in one last showdown with the evil demigod. Just kidding that’s the plot of Avengers: Endgame. Guess we’ll find out when Frozen 2 hits theaters in November 2019.
