You can get free pizza from Domino's right now, but it's a little complicated
There are no two words in the English language more beautiful than “free pizza,” and now, there’s a new way you can get your hands on some. You can get free Domino’s pizza through the company’s new mobile game, which offers free pizza as a reward, so if you have a phone and some spare time, it might not be a bad way to eat on the cheap.
According to a press release from Domino’s, the game debuted on April 2nd and it’s called Piece of the Pie Pursuit. Players will be given different challenges using a digital Rube Goldberg-style machine to earn points. The press release says one of the challenges will involve driving a pizza cutter car, but they all have to do with ways to order Domino’s (so yes, it is kind of like one big commercial). In the end, though, defeating all of the challenges earns you free Domino’s pizza. But how?
Once you’ve completed all six of the games, Domino’s rewards you with 10 Piece of the Pie points, good towards money off of a future order.
Sadly, it takes 60 points to earn a free, two-topping medium pizza, so playing the game once won’t get you there. However, it will get you closer — and after five more orders of $10 or more, that free Domino’s pizza is yours.
If you want to play, the game is now available in the Google Play store and in the iPhone App Store. If you’re not already part of the Domino’s rewards program, you’ll want to sign up so you can apply your points to your account.
“This is the ultimate game for pizza fanatics,” Domino’s director of loyalty, Steve Kennedy, said in the release. “Not only does it have six types of unique gameplay to keep you coming back for more, but it also gives Piece of the Pie Rewards members a chance to earn real-world bonus points toward free pizza.”
It’s not a whole free pizza for playing, but it does get you closer to one without having to spend any money, and that’s definitely a bonus, right? There are less productive things you could be doing while you’re watching Netflix, after all.
