Because summer love must end, here's everything leaving Netflix in August 2018
Well, as we head into this peak period of summer, it’s time to start saying goodbye: to the beach, to summer love, and to the Netflix titles leaving in August.
While summer seems like a devastating time to part with any movie set underwater, next month we’ll be parting ways with beloved Pixar sequel, Finding Dory. We’ll also be saying goodbye to two of our favorite underrated ’80s gems, Adventures in Babysitting and Can’t Buy Me Love. The streaming platform will lose quirky indies Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and St. Vincent, too.
Also departing the platform are the first three seasons of AMC drama The Killing, while the Netflix-backed fourth season will remain on the platform. The streaming platform is also set to part with a number of its classic raunchy comedies, including Sausage Party, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, and The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
August is shaping up to be a tough month for children’s programming, since the first three seasons of Pound Puppies, the second and third season of Transformers Prime, and the first season of Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot are leaving Netflix.
