It’s arguably one of the most important moments in a person’s life: We’re talking about the marriage proposal. So it’s only natural that a couple would want their special moment captured on video to remember forever. Unfortunately, this drone marriage proposal didn’t go as smoothly as everyone would have liked.

A man set up his drone in Bruarfoss Falls, a beautiful bright-blue waterfall in Iceland, hoping to pop the question to his unsuspecting fiancée with the drone circling around to capture the beautiful moment. However, that’s not exactly what happened.

Things started out smoothly, but then the drone took on a mind of its own around the 55-second mark. It began to lose control and ultimately went crashing into the ground just as the man was getting down on one knee. Luckily for him, his girlfriend still said yes!

Watch the whole thing in the video below!

If there’s one thing we learned from this, it’s to make sure you’ve properly read the manual before using a drone during one of the biggest moments of your life. We’re going to assume the man was hoping the drone would capture the moment like it did for this happy couple.

Congrats to the newly engaged lovebirds, who we hope will have a good laugh every time they watch this vid.
