As many readers know, Donald Trump is currently in the U.K. as part of a three-day “working visit.” So far, the POTUS has been greeted by thousands upon thousands of protestors, a giant Trump Baby balloon, and a tabloid interview scandal. The last few days have been…eventful…to say the least.

And the most recent internet drama involves Donald and Melania Trump’s July 13th meeting with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle, where the couple was scheduled to have tea. Trump is officially the 11th United States president that Queen Elizabeth has met as monarch, and the internet couldn’t help but notice a few key differences between the way the Trump visit went down as compared to when Obama visited England in 2011.

As some may recall, the queen not only held a state dinner for Barack and Michelle Obama, but the couple spent the night at the palace.

In contrast, Donald and Melania Trump’s visit with the Queen lasted less than an hour.

And the internet took notice.

Admittedly, the difference in reception could potentially come down to the different nature of the visits. The Obamas were visiting England on a state visit, which is technically more official than a “working” one. But Twitter can’t be tamed.
