A lot of us elder millennials closed the Harry Potter chapter in our lives several years ago—but as long as there’s Instagram, our Hogwarts friendships live on. Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy, is currently in New York promoting his new YouTube series Origin (Fun fact: Origin also stars Natalia Tena, who played Nymphadora Tonks), so he decided to pay his old friend Harry Potter, erm, Daniel Radcliffe, a visit.

Radcliffe is in previews for the Broadway show The Lifespan of a Fact, so Felton saw the show and later took to Instagram to call his friend’s performance “fantastic.” The Lifespan of a Fact opens on October 18th, 2018 and will run until January 13th, 2019.

The two Hogwarts alumni posed for a photo, and they’ve clearly gotten aggressive hipster makeovers since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows wrapped filming. It seems like just yesterday they were high school kids fighting off a dark lord, now they’re Brooklyn-dwelling artistes. Le sigh.

Over the summer, Felton and Matthew Lewis (aka Neville) reunited, and back in April, the two of them linked up with Emma Watson, and we’re very much here for these unofficial high school reunions.

We love the fact that the Potter cast has gone on to have wildly different careers—Radcliffe loves the stage, Felton is doing a supernatural series, Watson is a full-time activist—but they all still stay in touch.

Last year, Watson revealed that when she was trying to invite people to Beauty and the Beast screenings, she shot an text out to the Harry Potter group chat on WhatsApp.

The Potterverse may be closed now, but they’ll always have WhatsApp, and we’ll always have Instagram posts from Radcliffe’s Broadway performances.
