As we patiently await baby Legend’s big debut, we’re loving that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are blessing us with all the behind-the-scenes snaps from Chrissy’s second pregnancy. And now, the mom-to-be has taken to Instagram to share photos from her legendary baby shower on Friday, April 27th, giving us more FOMO than we ever thought possible.
Instead of opting for an over-the-top baby shower to welcome their second little one into the world, it seems Chrissy and John’s closest family and friends joined forces to throw her an intimate surprise shower…but given that their friends are some of the most famous people on the planet, this was no ordinary dinner party.
Chrissy shared the cutest shots of her awesome baby shower on Instagram, which was hosted by none other than mama Kris Jenner.
Of course, things had the potential to get off to a rocky start after longtime pals John and Kanye West disagreed over Kanye’s support for Donald Trump on Twitter earlier the same week, with Chrissy jokingly asking Kim Kardashian if the couples were still on for their Friday night dinner date.
But the famous friends didn’t let anything get in the way of celebrating baby boy Legend, with Chrissy gushing over her surprise shower in a series of photos the next day.
In her caption, Chrissy explained that she is “super anti baby showers” for herself, that she’s already “blessed to the max” and has no need for gifts from her loved ones. But she thanked her friends from “both coasts” for coming together for a “mellow night of dinner, cake, and love,” including Kris for hosting the cozy affair and her hairstylist and pal Jen Atkin for luring her out of the house.
And the guest list is truly bonkers, including Kris and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, Kim and Kanye, Jen and her husband Mike Rosenthal, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita.
Of course, Chrissy’s parents were also in attendance, too, rounding out the iconic guest list.
Though it seems the friends had a lovely time, Chrissy joked that while snapping a selfie with Jen and Kim, the trio missed a “lively conversation about the state of the union,” and LOL. Chrissy later took to Instagram to post another group pic, this time with her close pals Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick, who were inadvertently left out of the first one, and we love how tight-knit this A-list crew is.
Here’s hoping that Chrissy and John had a magical time with their pals, and we’ll just be over here trying to soothe our intense FOMO.
