Not just anyone can date Chloë Grace Moretz. The 19-year-old actress has strong feminist values and whoever is by her side needs to be comfortable stepping out of the way whenever she needs to kick some ass, which is why her boyfriend, 17-year-old Brooklyn Beckham, is perfect for her. Chloë opened up to “Access Hollywood” yesterday about their relationship, and why she thinks it works so well.

“I think [Brooklyn is] used to powerful women in his life,” she said, referring to his pop star mom, Victoria Beckham. “I mean, his mom is a very powerful woman. I think he admires kind of what I stand for and he’s always like, ‘Go do your political thing, Chloë.'”

And she certainly has. The interview was conducted at a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton, and this isn’t the first time she’s thrown her support behind the candidate, having wanted to campaign for her ever since she was little.

“I grew up with a single mom and she always really believed in Hillary,” Chloë revealed. “I decided I really wanted to meet Hillary… I actually went and met her at one of her book signings when I had just turned 18.”

That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship, and kickstarted the activism that we’re sure attracted Brooklyn to Chloë in the first place (along with her awesome movies and all-around amazingness).

The more we learn about this couple, the more we love them. We’re glad Brooklyn doesn’t stop Chloë from achieving her dreams, and that Chloë has someone so special by her side to support her.
