We have nothing but heart eyes for feminist icon and author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who recently posted on Facebook about her interview for BBC’s Newsnight with R Emmett Tyrrell, Jr. In the post, she explained why she was less than thrilled about the interview. At the end of the day, she just wasn’t pleased about being deliberately pitted against a Trump supporter without warning.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie felt ambushed by the Trump supporter interview, as, well, she was pretty much mansplained the entire time.

If you haven’t watched the debate, you definitely should!

In the post she wrote following the event, she explained,

She continued, saying,

Despite the attack, she stayed. The election was too personal for her not to share her thoughts on what had happened.

Just, ugh. It’s ridiculous that someone would try to pull one over on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (of all people!) and we’re sending her nothing but love in this trying time. If nothing else, we’re grateful for her thoughts and honesty. We’re better for having heard her perspective.
