Cardi B Revealed the *Actual* Reason She Filed for Divorce From Offset
After learning that Cardi B filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Offset, on September 15th, fans and followers have been sending her heaps of love on social media. Though Cardi B had not yet issued a reason for her wanting a divorce, many linked it to Offset's prior infidelity allegations. But on September 18th, Cardi went on Instagram Live to squash rumors and tell her fans that "I have not shed not one tear" over her split.
She thanked her fans for sending their support, and she went into detail about why she decided to call things off with Offset, who is the father of her 2-year-old daughter, Kulture.
"Every single time that this guy has been so crazy, so fucked up and it hits the media, I'm always crying, always stressed out, always sad because I don't like that type of shit,' the "WAP" rapper said, according to a fan capture of the video. "This time, I wasn't crying. You want to know why? The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that shit that ever happened before. It's not because of cheating. I'm seeing people be like, 'Oh, he has a baby on the way.' That's a whole fucking complete lie. That's the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that's bullshit."
"I just got tired of fucking arguing," Cardi B continued.
"I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it's just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I'd rather just leave."
The rapper confirmed that the split is not a publicity stunt or something for blog gossip. "Nothing crazy, out-of-this-world happened, sometimes people really do grow apart," she said. "I been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this man…sometimes you’re just tired of the arguments and the build-up. You get tired sometimes and before something happens, you leave."
So, like many relationships, both parties got tired of dealing with upset and hurt. The best avenue Cardi can take for both herself and her daughter is to walk away before things have a chance to blow up.
Though she says she doesn't need the love and support, going through a break is not easy, and we'll send it to her nonetheless.
