On July 10th, Cardi B and her husband, Offset, welcomed their daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus. The “I Like It” rapper seemed unstoppable, giving her all in performances even when she was seven months pregnant. But on July 26th, Cardi (understandably) bowed out of an upcoming tour with Bruno Mars to focus on motherhood, leaving her fans wondering when her next appearance would be. Now, the rapper has announced her next show—and it’s even sooner than we imagined.

Billboard reported on August 6th that Cardi will return from maternity leave to headline San Antonio’s Mala Luna Music Festival on October 27th and 28th. The Halloween weekend’s other headliners include Nicky Jam and Tyler, the Creator, and 20 other performers are also set to appear in the festival lineup. The event will take place at Nelson Wolff Stadium, and, according to Mala Luna’s website, a portion of the proceeds from tickets will be donated to the Network for Young Artists, which provides music classes for San Antonio youth.

Billboard notes that last year, Offset’s group Migos performed.

Mala Luna will mark Cardi’s first performance since baby Kulture’s birth, giving the rapper about three and a half months to recover and adapt to being a mom before returning to work. Cardi has been open about wanting to savor her experience as a new mom, and has shared both the struggles and triumphs of motherhood on social media.

We can’t wait to see Cardi make her grand return to the stage in October. And when she does, we have no doubt she’ll crush it.
