Lady Gaga defended Cardi B from Grammy haters in a single, perfect tweet
Cardi B is quitting Instagram—at least for now. Following criticism that she was undeserving of her best rap album Grammy win, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to Instagram in an impassioned video. The video, which was captured by a fan account, features Cardi, 26, saying, “It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else.”

After the passionate video was posted—and subsequently deleted—Cardi shared a cleaner reflection on her Instagram about all the work that went into making Invasion of Privacy, which was captured by People before she deleted her account on Monday, February 12th.
And now, Lady Gaga has added her voice to the conversation by letting the world know that she’s not here for Cardi’s critics. Gaga took to Twitter on Tuesday, February 12th, writing, “It is so hard to be a woman in this industry. What it takes, how hard we work through the disrespectful challenges, just to make art. I love you Cardi. You deserve your awards. Let’s celebrate her fight. Lift her up & honor her. She is brave.”
Clearly, the love is mutual.
