Cardi B is back on Instagram after Grammy backlash—and has a major announcement
After deactivating her Instagram account following backlash over her recent Grammy win, Cardi B is officially back on the platform—and she has big news. For background, Cardi won Best Rap Album for Invasion of Privacy at the 2019 Grammys, and some people on the interwebs didn’t think the album deserved it. After posting an impassioned video about how hard she worked on the album, she left the platform (without giving any indication of when she’d be back).
It looks like we (thankfully) didn’t have to wait too long for the rapper’s grand return, because as of today, February 14th, she’s back. And she posted the following update—while throwing some sly shade at the haters.
“two grammywinningartists”…we see what you did there, Cardi, and we love it. But more importantly, we’re stoked for a Cardi/Bruno collaboration, and we can’t wait to hear this new track. Cardi famously dropped out of the Bruno Mars 24K Tour last spring because she decided she needed to take time out to care for baby Kulture. However, she promised she and Bruno would work together in the future, and it looks like that time is now.
Let the countdown to Friday, February 15th begin.
