If there was ever a time to support women tackling traditionally male-dominated roles, it’s now.

Enter the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles. Last week, during a visit to the United Arab Emirates with the Prince of Wales, she had the most epic security detail of all time.

It was a team of five ladies, equipped to take down any sign of danger that might cross the Duchess’s path.

Shaima al Kaabi, Basima al Kaabi, Nisreen al Hamawi, Salama al Remeithi, and Hannan al Hatawi comprised the security detail.

The five ladies are part of the 50 members of the UAE’s presidential guard. All of them are trained in martial arts. Furthermore, they conceal weapons under their black hijabs and abayas in case of attack.

What makes the situation even more awesome is the Duchess visited to promote religious tolerance and women in leadership in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Al Ain, Glamour reported. Earlier in the week, she met with victims of abuse and trafficking at the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children. Amazing.

The Duchess expressed her gratitude and awe for her protectors to The Daily Mail.

Actually, THREE of the women have climbed Mount Everest: al Hatawi, al Hamawi, and al Remeithi.

We’d seriously love to learn some self-defense tips from these women. Or just general life tips, too. We’re not picky.
