How gorgeous did all our fave musicians look at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards? From the red carpet to the performances, every look outdid the next. However, the performance and outfit we can’t stop thinking about is Camila Cabello’s Marilyn Monroe-inspired Gentlemen Prefer Blondes performance.

Camila wore a near-exact replica of Marilyn’s iconic pink bow dress — right down to the satin pink gloves and diamond necklace. Of course, she put a fresh new spin on this timeless classic with her satin pink thigh high boots, the addition of retro-inspired pink sunglasses, and her brunette hair. We’re tickled pink over the “Havana” singer’s glamorous ensemble.

The music industry often pays homage to past legends during their performances, not only is it a lovely tribute to those who came before them, but it’s a testament to how much new artists are influenced by the past. Remember when Teyana Taylor paid homage to Janet Jackson’s iconic look at the 2017 MTV Music Awards? Even during this performance, people compared it to Madonna’s “Material Girl” music video, where the queen of pop also channels Marilyn in the 1953 musical.

We love Camila’s addition of the pink sunnies.

Talk about a spunky look!

Even though Camila’s look is almost an exact copy of Marilyn’s iconic pink dress, you can see that she put her own style and personality into the look during her “Havana” performance. It’s a fitting tribute to the queen of glamour.

Those boots are definitely a modern take on Marilyn’s iconic ensemble. However, we love that Camila kept it true the “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend” movie scene in Gentleman Prefer Blondes. We love that Camila had a flock of gentlemen dancers sporting classic tuxedos, just like in the 1953 movie. Everyone looked incredibly dashing.

We need to find a satin pink dress of our own, so we can channel both Camila and Marilyn.
