Brie Larson has been working hard to get into superhero shape for her role as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel has intense physical strength thanks to her superpowers, but even before her brush with Kree power, as a pilot in the United States Air Force, she was already a super strong woman. So Brie Larson had to build some serious muscle in order to get Danvers just right.
Judging by the video Larson posted to her Instagram today, March 26th, she has been working super hard these past few months. Seriously, if you’re looking for some inspiration to get you off the couch and into the gym, look no further than this video of Captain Marvel herself doing pull-ups.
Not only is Brie Larson able to knock out several, but the definition in her arms and back make it clear that she’s been working really hard.
She posted the video with the caption, “9 months of training really does some stuff to your body #mondaymotivation,” and you can say that again. Larson has clearly put the work in, and we love seeing her celebrating her physical strength.
There are a lot of really amazing female superheroes in movies right now, and as of late — from Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Shuri, Nakia, the Dora Milaje, Wonder Woman, and the Amazons. We are so excited for Captain Marvel to hit theaters in 2019 and bring yet another badass woman to center stage as a role model for young girls and women everywhere.
