Blake Lively's "Thanksgiving expectation vs. reality" Instagram post is so tragically accurate
It’s officially the holiday season…which means family, festive decorations, and a whole lot of problems. Yep. As much as we love this time of year, there’s no denying the cruel reality that it’s rarely as “Insta perfect” as we imagine. And actress Blake Lively just reminded us how different holiday “expectation versus reality” can be in a hilarious Instagram post.
Today, November 22nd (Thanksgiving Day!), Lively shared a gorgeous shot of herself in her regal ensemble from the 2018 Met Gala. She sits on what’s basically a throne, elegantly holding a literal goblet at the head of a large table.
The second picture in the post then features Lively in the back of a car in jeans and a tank top surrounded by boxes of takeout. She holds a burger in one hand and her eyes are shut—because the picture was snapped at the most awkward moment possible.
Basically, this is relatable AF and we are all Blake Lively today.
So if you’re currently covered in spilled gravy, your hair is a mess, and you’re either starving (because the turkey is taking too long) or sick (because you’ve just eaten way, way too much and now want to die), know that even the most glamorous of celebrities feel your pain.
Thank you, Blake. We needed this.
