No, this is not a (wondrous) dream: Netflix will officially be dropping what looks like a full-length Black Mirror movie tomorrow, December 28th. The news was announced via the show’s official Twitter page today, December 27th, at 2:00 a.m. ET. The “event” is titled “Bandersnatch,” and the tweet featured a full trailer along with the cryptic caption, “Don’t do it.”

From what we can tell, the episode/movie takes place in the 1980s and revolves around a video game developer named Stefon (Dunkirk’s Fionn Whitehead), who is designing a video game called Bandersnatch—which is based on a famous fantasy book. The author of said book apparently went crazy and killed his wife, and it appears as though some of that insanity is rubbing off on Stefon. There are also rumors that this latest installment will be a “choose your own adventure.”

The film’s official synopsis reads, “In 1984, a young programmer begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge. Welcome back.” Hmmm…not much help.

All we really know is that we can’t wait to watch Bandersnatch on December 28th, and we’re so glad we’ll have something to tide us over until the show’s fifth season.
