The women of Big Little Lies have a group text, and please say they're taking applications
If you and your friend group don’t regularly blow up each other’s phones with messages on your longstanding group text, are you really friends? Okay, maybe that’s not true in all cases, but in many, a group text — with all its scorching tea, doomed getaway plans, and hilarious roasts — is the mark of a solid friendship, and can really strengthen bonds. Don’t believe me? Just ask the Big Little Lies cast.
Gracing the cover of InStyle’s May issue, Big Little Lies’ Bonnie, Zoë Kravitz, sat down for an interview with her “godmama” Marisa Tomei; they talked about a wide range of topics, from aging and beauty to Kravitz’s experience in Hollywood, and all the wonderful women she’s met along the way that she now considers her support system.
And it turns out, some of these women are none other than her Big Little Lies co-stars.
Did she just say group text?! Why are we not in it? How can we apply? Just imagine all the tea you can get from Madeline Martha Mackenzie! Oh my god, is MERYL STREEP now part of the group text? WE HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.
Kidding aside, their group chat isn’t only packed with (presumably) inside jokes and memes.
Zoë revealed that the ladies also throw around ideas and provide constructive feedback — because that’s what supportive queens do.
It’s comforting to know that even though their on-screen characters often engage in emotional — and sometimes even physical — catfights, the actresses are BFFs IRL and have nothing but love and support for one another. I guess that makes them greatest girl gang in the history of ever (no offense, Taylor Swift).
