Bebe Rexha just put sexist and ageist music executives on blast, and celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Rita Ora, are praising her for it. On Monday, August 12th, the 29-year-old “Meant to Be” hitmaker shared a photo of herself in black lingerie and dedicated it to the male music executive who told her she was “too old” to post sexy photos on Instagram. However, the selfie isn’t the only thing that caught everyone’s attention—it was the empowering caption that went with it.

She explained that her post was meant to call out ageism and double standards in the music industry, as well as celebrate her age and body despite what anyone says.

She concluded, “I’m gonna celebrate my age because you know what, I’m wiser, I’m stronger and TRUST ME I’m a much better lover than I was 10 years ago.”

The post quickly garnered over 1 million likes and support from a number of female stars, who rushed to the singer’s defense in the comments section.

“DRAG THEM. 29 YEAR OLDS UNITE,” Swift wrote.

“My sexy songwriting (queen emoji),” Ora commented. “You are beautiful, getting sexier with age and your talent SINGS for itself. Keep making those rules.”

“LET EM KNO MAMA,” Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui added.

“HELL YEAH,” Jamie Lynn Spears also commented.

Rexha couldn’t contain her excitement when she saw Swift’s comment, tweeting, “Taylor commented on my pic. I’m dead. Literally my heart stopped. Dead dead dead.”

There’s nothing we love more than women supporting women.
