On March 12th, news broke that almost 50 people were caught in a college admissions scandal in which they bribed school officials and test administrators to get their children into top-tier universities. Among the parents were high-profile actresses Lori Loughin and Felicity Huffman. And now, according to TMZ, it looks as though Loughlin—who recently reprised her role as Aunt Becky on Netflix’s Fuller House—will be written out of the fifth and final season of the show. The website cited a “well placed production source.”
Again, while this news has so far only come from an unnamed source, it seems likely that Loughlin is being written out of the hit show. Hallmark has officially cut ties with the actress, opting not to air the most recent episode of her series “When Calls the Heart” (which is currently the highest-rated show on the network). Meanwhile, Loughlin’s daughter, influencer Olivia Jade, has lost a variety of online sponsors, and Sephora has officially ended its partnership with her.
Netflix has yet to make any official announcement regarding Loughlin’s future with its network.
