It may not be totally over for Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson after all. On October 14th, news broke that the “Sweetener” singer and Saturday Night Live actor had allegedly called off their engagement. But now it seems that Grande and Davidson’s relationship isn’t completely done. According to People, a source close to Grande says the two still plan on spending time together.

In the initial breakup report, a source told People that the relationship was simply “too much too soon.” The source added, “[Ariana] realized that planning a wedding right now felt very rushed. It’s not what she wants to do right now. She doesn’t want to make any rushed decisions and has decided to take a step back instead.”

Grande and Davidson began dating in May. After a whirlwind romance, Davidson confirmed their engagement during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 20th. The two have reportedly known each other since 2014, when Grande appeared as a musical guest on SNL.

A separate source close to Davidson told People that the split is still “fresh” but says a reunion is totally possible. The insider said, “They totally could get back together because who knows with those two. Honestly, who knows—they were fully together on Saturday.”

Together, broken up, or somewhere in-between, we just hope both Grande and Davidson are doing okay.
