It’s already been four years since singer Amy Winehouse passed away, which is so hard to believe. Winehouse was a Grammy winner and global pop phenomenon, but she struggled with addiction and was inundated with attention from the press. Today Altitude Film shared a teaser for Amy, their upcoming documentary, directed by Asif Kapadia, about Winehouse’s all-too-short career, and it is heart-wrenching.

The minute-and-a-half video features voice-over from an early interview with Winehouse, a collage of clips from the course of her life, and a stripped-down demo of her hit “Back to Black,” the title track on the acclaimed album that made her famous. “I’m not a girl trying to be a star or be anything. I’m just trying to be a musician,” she says in an taped interview in the trailer. She adds, “I don’t think I’m gonna be at all famous. I don’t think I could handle it. I would probably go mad.”

You can watch the trailer below. The documentary will be in theaters this summer.
