We may be living in a dumpster fire, but Nick Offerman and Amy Poehler have a new series together so there is still hope in the world. The two are reuniting as hosts of a delightful new NBC competitive crafting series, Making It. The six-episode series pits eight crafters against one another as they complete various wide-ranging craft-related challenges. In addition to serving as hosts, Offerman and Poehler will also be judges, alongside Barneys’ creative ambassador-at-large Simon Doonan and Etsy expert Dayna Isom Johnson.

The elimination competition series, which sees the crafters vying for the title of “Master Maker,” is putting craft lovers to the ultimate test. Back in March, the Making It promo teased the various types of crafts they contestants are going to have to make, revealing that potential projects will see the crafters working with everything from paints and fabric to metal and wood.

While the competition is putting its contestants’ craft skills to the test, this is no Hell’s Kitchen. The series will be competitive, but since it’s billed as a “friendly” competition, Making It will definitely fall more toward The Great British Bake Off on the cutthroat reality series scale. As if we expecting anything other than an utterly positive and enjoyable competition series from forever-BFFs Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson.

However, if you’re still not won over by the Parks and Recreation stars’ new foray into reality TV competition, just watch the two of them have an adorable pun-off.

This is seriously giving us Ron Swanson on Snake Juice giggles. Between their infectious chemistry and love of puns, Offerman and Poehler are definitely the American version of Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins we didn’t know we needed…until now.

The series hasn’t come out yet but we’re already calling for another season because any time Nick Offerman and Amy Poehler are on our screens, it’s a good thing. Making It premieres on July 31st.
