Good news for American Girl lovers. The company announced today that it would be releasing six new characters in 2017 that speak to a variety of interests, backgrounds, and experiences—one of which will be the first ever boy doll.

The doll, Logan Everett, is the drummer for another newcomer, Tenney Grant, who is a rising Nashville music star. Logan, an 18-inch tall doll with short brown hair and grey eyes, comes with his own drum set. Both dolls will be available beginning Thursday on the American Girl website.

The brand will also be rolling out more diverse girls during the year. Two of the new modern characters include the 2017 Girl of the Year, Gabriela McBride, an African-American girl who gives back through her love of the arts, and Z Yang, a tech-loving doll version of the Korean-American girl that fans will recognize from American Girl’s YouTube channel. A more history-focused Hawaiian character by the name of Nanea, whose story takes place during World War II, will also be unveiled.

In addition to each doll, American Girl is revealing a variety of books, online videos, web series, and apps that tell each character’s stories.

For older fans, the company will also be bringing back one of their most beloved historical characters, Felicity, a 1774 colonial girl who fought for freedom. The Felicity doll was retired in 2011, but will be available for purchase again starting on Thursday, February 16.
