If you’ve been to Platform 9 3/4 recently (although, it’s not September 1st, so it’s definitely the off-season) you may have noticed something super heartbreaking. After the news of beloved actor Alan Rickman’s passing broke yesterday morning, fans flocked to the Harry Potter landmark to pay homage to the man who brought Professor Snape to life.

While Platform 9 3/4 is technically a fictional platform found only in the wizarding world, the real Kings Cross station has its own version of the magical gateway for some time now. It’s often the perfect photo spot for tourists and locals alike, and now it’s also the site for something truly touching: A tribute to Alan Rickman.

The area is filled with cards emblazoned with the word “Always,” recalling one of Professor Snape’s most iconic lines. Rickman’s legacy will always be in our hearts, and that while he may be gone, what he left behind is truly magical. For always.
