The new trailer for the final season of “Girls” is here, and it’s actually hilarious
It might be coming to an end, but we’ve been gifted with a trailer for the final season of Girls and it’s absolutely hilarious!
We’ve repeatedly had our hearts broken over the last six months as we’ve seen moments from one of our fave shows come to an end. Firstly Lena Dunham made us weep with her “goodbye” Instagram post, but we also got MAJOR potential spoilers into what could be going on with Dunham’s character, Hannah, in the final season of the HBO dramedy, too.
Well, now we’ve been given a look at the final season of Girls and it’s kinda bittersweet.
In the trailer, we see Hannah sitting down at a buisness breakfast where she’s pitching ideas to a magazine editor.
“I just feel like I’m a really perfect fit for your magazine, she says. “I don’t give a shit about anything, yet I simultaneously have opinions about everything.
Later things seem to take a darker turn, as Dunham’s character laments her life. “I’m mentally ill, I’m overweight, I isolate people,” she says, before the scene cuts.
We also see Jessa, played by Jemima Kirke, having a huge fight in the street with Elijah, played by Andrew Rannells, and Shoshanna, played by Zosia Mamet, over Adam, played by Adam Driver. What’s more, it seems that Marnie’s relationships with Desi and Ray are getting complicated, too.

"I want to write stories that make people feel less alone than I did, Hannah says. “I want to make people laugh about the things in life that are painful."
Hopefully as the show comes to its conclusion, we’ll get to see some semblance of closure for the characters. It’s been a turbulent ride, but we’d love to seem them all reach wherever their respective journeys have been taking them.
Luckily, we don’t have too long to wait to find out. Girls returns to HBO on February 12th, at 10 p.m. ET.
