This new Starbucks frappuccino tastes like our fave childhood dessert

Starbucks releases new frappuccino flavors the way most of us change our socks. It seems like every day, there’s a new concoction to try — not that we’re complaining! This week, they’ve added a brand new flavor to their slate of cold, frozen, sipable treats, and it takes us all the way back to when we were small. That’s because the flavor is reminiscent of a Fudgsicle, and I can almost remember running outside to the ice cream man with a dollar bill in my pocket and sitting on the curb in the summer just thinking about it. false

Okay, so the frappuccino isn’t actually CALLED a Fudgsicle Frappuccino. It’s called a Double Double Fudge Bar Frappuccino, but you can kinda get where they’re going with that. To make it, they use their frappuccino base and double down on the amount of chocolate syrup they would normally use to make a mocha frappuccino, then they blend in vanilla syrup for good measure, and ice. They swap out regular whipped cream for chocolate whipped cream (YUM!) and there you have it! Sounds like perfection to me.

It’s only going to be an official menu item for a little while, but the ingredients are Starbucks mainstays, so you can always ask for it – just ask for a mocha frappuccino with extra mocha and some vanilla syrup, and you’ll get the same flavor you’re looking for.
