There’s a new spicy flavor of Icee coming out, and we’ll try anything once
You probably remember the first time you had an Icee, especially if you’re a ’90s kid. If you’ve been thinking about the classic drink for a while now, we’re here to tell you that there’s a wacky revival happening soon. Brace yourself, because there’s a new spicy Icee flavor coming out—we’re going to need to taste it to believe it!
This fall, Icee is set to debut a new spicy yet sweet flavor called Mango Chili Lime. According to PopSugar, this flavor debut is part of Icee’s 50th anniversary celebration.
But we have to ask — how can a drink so cold that it causes mega brain-freeze possibly have an element of spicy heat?
Luckily, PopSugar got their hands on the new flavor and reported that it’s a surprisingly good twist. They said that, as to be expected, the Icee is classically cool and refreshing. The mango is the tasty prominent flavor, with a twist of lime bringing up the rear.
"But once you give it a few seconds," PopSugar wrote, "you get the subtle chili kick. It's actually a bit of a head game for your tongue because you simultaneously get the cool and the heat, and it's so good."

Along with their Mango Chili Lime flavor, Icee is releasing Fanta Sour Grape, Dragon Fruit, Mango Strawberry, Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade, and Laffy Taffy, all as part of their anniversary celebration.
There will also be a mystery flavor which will be revealed at a later date.

The release of the spicy Icee just adds to our conclusion that, in 2017, anything is possible. We can’t wait to try it out and have our tongues twisted and minds blown!
