Here’s a new picture of Eddie Redmayne in ‘Fantastic Beasts’ because you know you need it
If you’re New Year’s Resolution includes immersing yourself way more often in the Wizarding World, you’re in luck. Today there’s not just one brand new picture from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but two. Two!! 2016 is going to be off to a great start.
The movie might still be 11 months away, but it’s never too early to start getting excited about it. Fantastic Beasts will find Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander in New York City with some of his magical creatures. While practically all details about the plot are tightly locked away, it sounds like some of Newt’s magical creatures get, shall we say, lost in New York City, and now he’s got to go round them all up.
“Newt is a magizoologist who’s just completed a global journey to find and document magical creatures for a book he plans on writing,” Fantastic Beasts producer David Heyman explains to Empire, “His case is important because it contains some of the creatures he’s been researching. It may be small, but there’s a whole world within.”
The picture Empire released shows Newt dressed in his 1920s best racing up some stairs, his case in hand. What’s going on down below, and do they realize that THE Newt Scamander is in their presence?
Entertainment Weekly has a new picture of the movie, too, and this one not only has Newt, but new characters Tina (Katherine Waterston) and Jacob (Dan Fogler), too. They appear to be peeking around a corner. Think some fantastic beasts are on the other side?
The wait until the end of next year might be long, but it’ll be worth it. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens on November 18, 2016.
