This new Mockingjay — Part 2 poster is so intense

Waiting for the new Hunger Games movie is almost as suspenseful as it will be to watch it! Even though Mockingkay — Part 2 doesn’t hit theaters until November, Lionsgate released a new poster for the film and it’s even more intense than Effie Trinket’s post-apocalyptic-chic head scarf.

The poster is virtually all white (spooky), except for a blaring mark of graffiti: the mockingjay symbol that represents Katniss (played by Jennier Lawrence) and the rebellion stands out red and angry on the wall behind a crumbled, headless statue. Upon closer inspection, it’s clear that this used to be a sculpture of President Snow. His creepy face stares from the rubble.

If this image is any indication of how the Battle of the Capitol is going down in Part Two, then this last Hunger Games movie might be the best one yet.

If the anticipation of waiting for November is worse for you than a tracker jacker sting and you’re thinking about re-reading the books, there are some really cool conversations happening on the Hunger Games book official Facebook page. Fans are discussing big questions about Katniss and Peeta, symbolism in the books, and their favorite supporting characters. Watch out for spoilers if you haven’t finished the series!

For those that haven’t read the books but want to catch up before Mockingjay: Part Two premiers, the first two chapters are available online. Warning: if you are looking to get obsessed with a book, the odds are ever in your favor.

Ugh, November can’t come soon enough!
