This convenient new Facebook feature just made getting dinner a lot easier

Social media updates usually bring some new kind of feature that leave users with some very strong opinions — we either love it or hate it. But Facebook’s latest feature may be one that leaves you jumping for joy thanks to how convenient the social networking site is making it to order food. Move over Seamless — Facebook may be the next best food ordering app.

As Time reports, Facebook Inc announced that its latest feature, "Marketplace," will allow for users to order food directly from that restaurant's page on the social media site.

In an effort to better connect Facebook users to restaurants that utilize the social network, the new feature will make shopping more convenient for users.

At the same time, it will also be launching a “recommendations” feature, to allow users to give recommendations on the best places to eat and shop to their friends’ list.

The latest update will also help Facebook users find retail businesses, purchase movie tickets, and make salon appointments right from the app.

And with the social media app catering to 1.7 billion monthly active users, incorporating a feature to make shopping and booking appointments easier is one that will probably win over even the pickiest social media user.

What about you – will you be using this feature?
