This new “Drunk History” teaser has us so SO PUMPED

As the old adage goes, “Truth is stranger than fiction.” Truth told by a bunch of drunk comedians is even more strange. Yes, that’s right: the trailer for the new season of Comedy Central’s Drunk History has dropped, enticing us with all the future season’s hilarity:

Drunk Historyis an Emmy-award winning show where history buffs  “drunkenly” narrate some of the most epic stories from history with a usually over-the-top dramatic re-enactment by actors.

But don’t let the hilarity fool you — the show is also strangely educational.

Previous amazing inebriated history stories have included Fredrick Douglass visiting the White House, Harriet Tubman, the life story of the Kellogg brothers, and Elvis meeting President Nixon.

This year, the lessons are led by some quality actors, including Jenny Slate, Ronda Rousey, Elizabeth Olsen, Taylor Schilling, Gabourey Sidibe, Thomas Middleditch, Dave Grohl, Tony Hale, and Rachel Bilson. Wow! That’s quite the fun (and funny) lineup.

Most famously, the uber-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda will be narrating the story of the famous duel between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton. Arrested Development‘s Alia Shawkat will play Alexander Hamilton, and everyone’s favorite grump Aubrey Plaza will be playing Aaron Burr.

We cannot wait. Our brains will be full of knowledge, and our bellies full of laughs.
