New drinks are coming to Starbucks in 2017 because we deserve them, thankyouvermuch
Starbucks is known for throwing us a surprise latte or Frappuccino here and there, and we THANK them for it, because we love caffeine, and we especially love flavored caffeine! 2016 has been a rough year for many of us, and it feels like the coffee chain sense it — Starbucks let us know 2017 menu items already, four new drinks specifically.
The Cascara Latte will make her appearance in January, and she’s only available for a limited time in 2017, so don’t waste any time to get in and order yours. It’s a latte with hints of maple and dark brown sugar, and it’s apparently inspired by the skin of a coffee cherry. Sounds pretty festive to us, and although we think the Cascara Latte would be perfect for the holidays, we’ll wait patiently for January to arrive.
There’s also a new Starbucks Cold Brew coming out in July called Cold Brew Cocoa & Honey With Cream, and it might just be available at your local grocery store. Perfect for a hot summer’s day, it’s a basic Starbucks cold brew mixed with cocoa and honey flavors.
If you’re a Starbucks aficionado, you may remember a little drink from this past year called Smoked Butterscotch Latte, which is making a comeback in January for a limited time (because all the best drinks are only available for a limited time). The ingredients are espresso, steamed milk, smoked butterscotch sauce, and a smoked butterscotch topping, to boot.

Finally, Starbucks is giving us four new flavors of Teavana Craft Iced Teas: Pineapple Berry Blue Herbal Tea, Peach Green Tea, Mango Black Tea, and Passion Tango Herbal Tea. You can buy them in select stores next year — hopefully sometime in the summer, because we’re pretty sure we need those poolside.
