Neville Longbottom himself just assured us that “Fantastic Beasts” is going to be so, so good
We’ve been counting down the days until Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ever since the project was announced. We’re so happy that J.K. Rowling is giving us another chance to experience the magic of the wizarding world! In the last few weeks, we’ve gotten sneak peeks behind the scenes and collected as many details about the film as possible.
This week, Fantastic Beasts received a very important endorsement: one from Matthew Lewis, aka Neville Longbottom, AKA Nagini’s Nemesis. The actor visited the film set and was very impressed—so much so that he took to Twitter to share his sentiment.
It can be dangerous to revive or spin off a beloved franchise, but we’re glad to hear the project is staying true to the Harry Potter world. If Neville’s cool with it, so are we. After all, Fantastic Beasts is a different, well, beast, than the original HP movies. It still takes place in the same world, but is set in New York decades before Harry is even born. It sounds like Eddie is taking on the face of the franchise quite nicely.
“Newt is a magizoologist who’s just completed a global journey to find and document magical creatures for a book he plans on writing,” Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter producer David Heyman told Empire. “His case is important because it contains some of the creatures he’s been researching. It may be small, but there’s a whole world within.”
Is it November yet?!
