Here’s when all of your fave Netflix shows are coming back
You’re literally going to want to do a lot of Netflix and chilling (no funny stuff!) this spring. Based on the premiere dates that Netflix announced today at the 2016 Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Press Tour, you’re gonna be in full binge mode from March to July, with some of your fave shows returning for new seasons and some newbies creeping in to steal even more of your chill time.
The reunions kick off on March 4, 2016, with the return of Frank and Claire Underwood and House of Cards. After what’s sure to be another season of deep, dark political deception, you can return to the light on April 15, when the amazing Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt comes back into our lives for more brightly-colored, Tina Fey-penned perfection!
More laughs to come on May 6, when your gal pals Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda reintroduce us to Grace and Frankie. (Fingers crossed for that 9 to 5 reunion with Dolly Parton guest-starring!). And the girl power continues on June 17, the day that Orange is the New Black releases new episodes again.
In addition to these returning shows, Netflix is also introducing a bunch of new original content this year, including Fuller House (February 26); a new Judd Apatow show starring Community alum Gillian Jacobs called Love (February 19); The Ranch, a comedy reuniting The ’70s Show’s Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson (April 1); and Stranger Things, a spooky, Winona Ryder-starring (!!!) drama (July 15). According to Netflix head honcho Ted Sarandos, we are also officially getting a second season of Jessica Jones, but seeing as that show has yet to start shooting, don’t expect to hear about that debut date for some time.
Basically, if you were planning on going out and having a social life with your real friends for the next few months, you can forget it. But, your streaming life is going to be so full, with so many new and old pals around to keep you busy for so many weekends at home to come.
