Here’s how your Netflix preferences are impacting your love life
Anyone who’s ever been in love with a show on Netflix has dropped everything to watch the new season when it finally was available to stream (um, hello, Orange Is The New Black!). But it turns out the way we use Netflix could be totally impacting our lives beyond our adoration for our fave characters. In fact, our Netflix preferences are impacting our ~romances~.
In fact, our Netflix preferences are impacting our ~romances~.
According to The Wrap, Propeller Insights and Xfinity surveyed almost 2000 adults aged from 25 to 49 and discovered that the way we watch television can have a pretty huge effect on our love lives — and it can make or break a first date. For example, almost a third of millennials have actually chosen not to date someone based off their television watching preferences, so be careful which guilty pleasure shows you reveal over spaghetti. (That said, perhaps a better position to take: If they’re gonna judge you that hard for your die-hard love for Cake Boss, they can GTFO.)
However, it’s not all bad news. In fact, 66% of couples say that watching television together has actually strengthened their relationship — and that number is increased to 75% among millennial couples. Over half of parents have purposely put their kids to bed earlier or later so they could spend time watching their fave show together, while almost 30% of couples have canceled on plans to watch a television show.

Just shows that those who Netflix together, stay together. <3
