Netflix is FINALLY looking into how people can watch movies and shows offline!
Everybody freak out: Netflix just announced they’re working on making content available offline.
Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos told CNBC the company is working to make their movies and shows downloadable so subscribers can access them without WiFi.
The company announced in April that they would be open to offline content. Now it sounds like it’s actually happening, but there is no timeline on when the feature will roll out. As digital streaming use grows, more and more people with unreliable internet access are using the product. Sarandos says that Netflix wants to remain more accessible for those people.
“I think as we get into more and more (of the) undeveloped world and developing countries that we want to find alternatives for people to use Netflix easily, he said.
Hurry up, Netflix! We’re desperate for this to happen. Just think about how different airplane rides will be if we can binge watch Orange is the New Black?
