We didn’t expect to happy cry while watching this Netflix trailer about dogs, but here we are
Put a pin in your The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina binge to check out the trailer for your next great Netflix obsession: Dogs. Dogs is a six-part docuseries about, well, dogs. The series, which the internet has delightfully called a “dogumentary,” follows six individual stories about dogs and the humans who love them all over the world.
“Dogs don’t just make us feel loved, dogs make us feel safe, Glen Zipper, who developed the show and is an executive producer with Amy Berg, told Variety. “In the world we live in today, no matter how divided we are, we should take care to realize how much dogs mean to all of us, and how our bond with them can help bring us together.
In a press release, Netflix called the show an “inspirational journey exploring the remarkable, perhaps even magical qualities that have given these animals such a special place in all of our hearts.”
Each episode focuses on a unique story, like the Syrian man who risked everything to help his dog Zeus cross the border from war-torn Syria to Lebanon, or the people who run a sanctuary in the Costa Rican rainforest that houses thousands of homeless dogs, or the Italian fisherman whose dog is his business partner.
More importantly, the trailer will fill you with the happiest of tears, and we’re hoping the series will do more of the same.

“In times of division, volatility and confusion Dogs is an emotional palate cleanse," Berg told Variety. "Watching the show offers a salve for the spirit and reminds us of the redemptive power of love."
The six-episode series hits Netlifx on November 16th, 2018.
