Here are the Netflix April changes, you know, just to get you prepared

A new month is on the horizon, and with it …. Netflix changes. As per usual, we’re getting some new stuff and losing some favorites, and we have the low-down on what to binge-watch while you still have time!

The good news is we’re not losing any major shows. In fact, the bulk of what’s being lost is either Halloween related (perhaps to return in October?) or cult-status weird. Say good-bye to the Friday the 13th films (1-8), both Jeepers Creepers, and The Amityville Horror. Other films to be pulled are The Cable Guy, Peewee’s Big Adventure, and The Karate Kid trilogy. A few classics will be no more, such as Good Morning, Vietnam and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. But all in all, it’s a short list. And don’t worry — ‘Friends’ is safe.

So what do we get in return? Well, three Leprechaun movies, which I know you’ve been wanting to watch for a long time. Did you know The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course exists? Neither did I, but Netflix did. The Beautician and the Beast will soon be available to watch, too. And that’s only April 1!

The rest of the month does have some really awesome additions (the new Daredevil series!), but nothing with the retro buzz of Friends or Gilmore Girls‘. A new season of Wilfred will be added, and so will The Babadook and Hot Fuzz. David Wain’s comedy They Came Together (with Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler) is hitting the site in mid-April, so mark your calendars. Later in the month we’ll get A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, last year’s Iranian vampire western that everyone was talking about, if you talk to the kinds of people who know about Iranian vampire westerns.

And to round it all out: National Treasure. Because nothing says, “Hello, Spring” like Nic Cage.
