Netflix is going to premiere a whopping 15 series in 2016 so prepare to binge
There’s no such thing as too much Netflix, and Netflix knows that. Maybe that’s why in 2016, instead of rolling out a few brand new shows here and there, Netflix is rolling out an amazing 15. That means, for some months out of 2016, we’re going to double up on brand new series to binge. Three days, in, and this year is already shaping up to be the best year ever.
In total, and as of right now, for 2016 Netflix will work with 30 original series. Many of theses series are returning favorites we’ve already binged for multiple seasons, like Orange is the new Black and House of Cards. Others will be returning favorites for their sophomore outing, like Kimmy Schmidt, Bloodline, and Daredevil, which will all return at some point this year.
And then there are the brand NEW shows, which we’ve never binged, and we can count down the days till we can. These are the shows that we can look forward to on top of all the other shows we’re already watching. Hope you’ve kept some of 2016 free for Netflix.
Many of these news shows for the streaming site we’ve heard lots about. Fuller House is the first BIG one, set to premiere on February 26, and Chelsea Handler will make her much anticipated move to the site with not only a four-part series (the first of which lands January 23), but her new talk show, too.
Oh, but that’s not all. Netflix and Marvel will venture back to Hell’s Kitchen at some point this year with their latest, Marvel’s Luke Cage. There’s the Winona Ryder series. Then there’s the mini That 70’s Show reunion that stars both Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson. Also, the Maria Bamford series, a new Judd Apatow series, a Baz Luhmann series, and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
No dates have been set for the above shows yet, but Netflix has 363 days to fit them in, and even an extra one because this year is a Leap Year. It’s also the year of SO MUCH Netflix.
