If you’ve got nervous pets these videos will help calm them down during fireworks — really!

If you’re a pet parent, you know that most beloved, fluffy companions hate loud noises caused by storms and fireworks. Luckily, there is help in sight, and there’s now a collection of YouTube videos aimed at calming down nervous pets — and they’re narrated by former Doctor Who, David Tennant. Tennant has lent his voice to a couple of creations by More Th>n Motion Pictures and these videos are meant to soothe anxious cats and dogs during times of noisy reveling.

More Th>n is based in Britain, and the videos are available just in time for Guy Fawkes Day. But really, these videos could work for everything from Fourth of July fireworks to your neighbor’s bass-heavy birthday party. Pets help us cope with all kinds of issues, so it’s only fair that we return the favor.

Here’s the trailer for Peer Window, also voiced by David Tennant. It’s the one meant to help your feline friends stay chill on a noisy night (Prepare for glorious cat-puns aplenty).

While the trailer might seem really silly, the videos can actually serve as a form of therapy for your pets. Showing the relevant one to them multiple times is supposed to familiarize them with the content. That way, they can be effectively soothed when things get stressful.

Says pet behavioral expert Karen Wild, “These films may seem strange to humans, but it’s important to realize that cats and dogs do not perceive the world in the same way we do and will respond to completely different audio and visual stimuli.”

We may not appreciate the same things as our cats and dogs, but we’re pretty sure the Hitchcock-and Bronte-referencing names of the two films – Peer Window for cats, and Woofering Heights for dogs – are all for the human companions.

Woofering Heights is similarly relaxing – this one was filmed in blue and yellow, which is the color spectrum of dogs’ sight.

So, the next time there’s something outside causing a racket, you can cuddle up with your furry life partner and be calmed by the dulcet tones of David Tennant’s voice. But be warned: You may need a nap after.
