Neil Patrick Harris’ twins are big fans of “A Series of Unfortunate Events”

Neil Patrick Harris gave adorable six-year-old twins Harper and Gideon a fun opportunity to sneak preview his new show, A Series of Unfortunate Events.

NPH stars in the Netflix adaptation of the popular Lemony Snicket book series as the villainous Count Olaf. His character is many in one as Olaf hides in different disguises to trick the protagonists of the story, the ever-unlucky Baudelaire children.

So what did NPH’s two biggest fans think of daddy’s work during the on-set cast and crew screening?

“They loved it. They thought it was silly, Harris tells E! News.

Now this isn’t to say there weren’t some critiques.

“It’s dark. They were a little freaked out at times, but just when it gets too dark, it gets silly again, Harris promises.

Harris transforms into the wicked Count Olaf with intimidating costumes and eerie prosthetic pieces.

That hair? That nose? Definitely not a dad-friendly look!

Neil says he prepared his kids for the eerie transformation by showing them pictures of the different stages to get the look. When they change was revealed, they weren’t scared at all!

"They laughed, they thought it was just strange," Harris says.

Harper and Gideon have it pretty made, as NPH adds they’ve seen plenty of dad’s work ahead of it being in theaters.

"They saw The Smurfs, they saw Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and some of the softcore porn, but only the scene parts, not the action scenes," Harris (obviously) jokes.

Season one of A Series of Unfortunate Events started streaming Friday the 13th of January 2017. Because why not be extra spooky?
