You need to see an emotional Andrew Garfield as Emma Stone accepts the Oscar for Best Actress

Today in ex-partner goals, Andrew Garfield proved once again that he adores Emma Stone and will support her always.

As Stone stood on stage to accept her award for Best Actress for La La Land, Garfield was spotted in the audience by eagle-eyed Twitterers who noted that Stone’s former paramour looked positively overwhelmed with pride — and may have even shed a few tears of joy over Stone’s success.

While thanking her friends, family, and colleagues for their support on her Hollywood journey, Stone was understandably choked up. And out in the audience, Garfield appeared to be as happy as ever for his one-time love. false

His reaction, honestly, isn’t super surprising (though we’ll never get tired of his sweet behavior!). When Stone won her Golden Globe for Best Actress earlier this year, Garfield gave her a standing ovation from the audience.

And when he was asked by The Hollywood Reporter in December last year who’d he take to a desert island, he said unequivocally, “Emma Stone. I love Emma. She’s all right. She can come.”

Stone even made it a point to stop by and see her ex at the Oscars last night, reportedly interrupting Garfield as he chatted with his father to say hello and give him a squeeze.
