One of our favorite ‘Glee’ ladies is a mom! Huge congrats!

It’s a boy for former Glee star Naya Rivera and her hubby, actor Ryan Dorsey! SQUEE! And we LOVE the name: Josey Hollis Dorsey.

Josey was born Sept. 17 in Los Angeles. He’s the first child for both Dorsey and Rivera, who’s most well-known for her role on Glee as everyone’s favorite feisty frenemy Cheerio Santana Lopez.

Rivera has been generous in letting the media follow along with her pregnancy. She has written for the PEOPLE Celebrity Babies blog, where she discussed the joys of preparing to expand her new family with Dorsey but also doesn’t sugarcoat some of the difficulties of pregnancy.

“Sure, my back was on fire and I was tipping the scales at numbers I didn’t think I could ever reach, but who cares?! WE’RE ALMOST DONE!” she wrote in her final blog post before little Josey’s arrival. We love her for this, considering much of the media makes pregnancy seem like sunshine and rainbows 24/7.

And last month, Rivera even gave us a peek into her gorgeous baby shower – themed after her favorite childhood book, Love You Forever. So sweet!

She also took part in a recent pregnancy shoot for Yahoo! – and we’re obsessed with the stunning photos (which you can see more of here, but be aware some are gorgeous AND nude).

In the accompanying interview with Yahoo!, Rivera stated that everything has been so new and that there’s no way she could’ve heard or read anything that would’ve prepared her for pregnancy.

“It’s such a change physically, mentally, and in terms of lifestyle, that I definitely didn’t know what to expect going into it,” she said. “I have friends who are moms, and you hear stories and stuff, but it’s never the same until you actually experience it yourself.”

Congratulations, Naya and Ryan! We can’t wait to read all about your adventures in parenthood, because we know you guys are going to rock it (and that Sue Sylvester would be proud).
