Natalie Portman just made her first public appearance since giving birth

Since having her second child with husband Benjamin Millepied in February, Natalie Portman has stayed out of the public eye. But Portman just made her first appearance since giving birth, and she looked AMAZING.

She stepped out during the Cannes Film Festival to attend a garden party at Christian Dior’s Château de la Colle Noir. Portman is part of the new Miss Dior campaign and was certainly dressed to be the belle of the ball.

Portman wore a velvet Dior gown paired with Fred Leighton accessories and looked nothing less than divine.

Everyone was a bit on edge during awards season due to Portman’s pregnancy. Oscars host, Jimmy Kimmel, joked with Portman about how he would deliver the baby if she went into labor mid-show if need be. And Portman ultimately wasn’t able to attend the ceremony (even though she was nominated for Jackie) because she had given birth to daughter Amalia just four days earlier.

But now that the dust has settled post-delivery, we can expect to see Portman out and about much more. She and her husband flew back to France for the Miss Dior campaign party where Portman gave an eloquent speech about the Miss Dior theme, “What would you do for love?”
