Napoleon from “Napoleon Dynamite” IRL looks totally unrecognizable now

We have so many mixed feels about Napoleon Dynamiteundeniably one of the weirdest things we’ve ever watched (and, okay, re-watched a dozen times). With its 2004 debut, it took over schools and playgrounds across the nation as we (and some adults!) quoted the heck outta that strange little film. The star, of course, Napoleon, is weird AF, but also brave in the loveliest little ways. And, as hard as it may be to believe, he actually ended up being quite a babe.

Yeah. Really. We wouldn’t lie to you! See for yourself.

Out of costume, Napoleon Dynamite, aka Jon Heder, is hardly the same person!

Like, what? He looks so, so different. While Napoleon Dynamite was his feature film debut, he’s done SO MUCH since then. He’s had roles in The Benchwarmers, School for Scoundrels, Blades of Glory, Mama’s Boy, When in Rome… the list goes on!Heder is definitely known for taking on a major variety of roles, all a little quirky, and all a little funny.

Here he is looking SO clean cut at the When in Rome premiere.

Ow owwwwww. See? When we said babe, we meant, BABE. Who knew Napoleon would end up so sleek and suave?!

Even Heder hardly recognizes his ~old self~.

You’re not alone, Heder. This is *exactly* how we feel when we look back on those early 2000s selfies!

And now, 12 years later, he JUST LOOKS SO DIFFERENT.

If you’ve ever wondered about the power of puberty and a new look, here’s your proof.
