The gothic nail polish Michelle Williams wore to the Tony Awards is only $8

It’s no secret that we love affordable beauty and fashion – especially when a celeb rocks such a look. There was the time when Britney Spears promoted body confidence in a $16 swimsuit. Then, Ashley Tisdale went and designed an entire affordable makeup line that looks like it belongs to a beach goddess. Most recently, the beloved Michelle Williams gave us a reason to go for a gothic manicure this summer.

At this year’s Tony Awards, Michelle rocked a ruched white gown, strappy black heels, a bold bracelet, a fresh face, and a deep red lip. To compliment her edgy black clutch, Williams went with a glossy black manicure that’s equal parts chic and dark. For the most part, it’s refreshing to see someone bucking summer trends in favor of something a bit more Wednesday Addams.

According to Allure, Michelle’s manicurist Elle decided to decorate the actress’ nails with the color Sexy Stiletto by Red Carpet Manicure. Despite the brand’s name, the polish doesn’t come with a red carpet price. In fact, it’s only $8.

Since the polish is dark and shiny, Elle told Allure that she wanted to keep Michelle’s nails short and moisturized. That’s because a dark color can easily draw attention to any dry skin or ragged cuticles around the nail bed. (This is advice we’ll definitely be putting into practice next time we want to bring our nails over to the dark side).

Ultimately, we cannot wait to add Michelle Williams’ red carpet color of choice to our own collections of shadow-like shades.
